On November 27,2025 (Thursday), the health lecture “Eat Smart for Muscle Strength UP! The session was led by nutritionist Ying-Ying Li and attracted enthusiastic participation from many older adults.

Understanding Healthy Eating: Building the Right Foundations
The lecture began with Nutritionist Li guiding participants through essential concepts of health assessment, including:-
Basic understanding of BMI (Body Mass Index) and health indicators
-
Principles of balanced nutrition across three daily meals
-
How to assess and plan adequate protein intake
Through clear and accessible explanations, the session helped seniors better understand what it means to “eat right” and how to make healthier choices in their daily lives.

Hands-On Demonstration: Healthy Korean Rice Balls × Pumpkin Soup
A food demonstration was specially arranged to allow participants to see, smell, and taste healthy meals on site. Nutritionist Li first demonstrated how to prepare oil-free, low-sodium, and easy-to-make healthy Korean-style rice balls, enabling seniors to replicate the recipes at home.
Participants learned that healthy food can also be delicious. Many commented, “It’s tasty, smooth, and makes me want to cook it at home!” Recipe cards were also provided to encourage home practice. -
Warm and Active Interaction
Throughout the session, participants listened attentively and asked questions enthusiastically. The atmosphere was friendly and engaging, helping seniors not only understand healthy eating but also build confidence in preparing meals independently at home.
