Blessings Should Be Shared with Others

The Taipei Tsai Hsueh-Ni Charity Foundation was established in 1988 by Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai. The Foundation was born from her profound life experiences and deep admiration for her mother's selfless spirit. Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai's mother was a generous and kind-hearted woman who regularly gave away food to large crowds during festive seasons. Her mother's benevolence left a lasting impression on Tsai, shaping her values and guiding her throughout her life.

While serving as a district leader in Zhongshan, Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai joined a humanitarian visit to the Thai-Vietnamese-Myanmar border and personally witnessed the hardships of refugee camps in northern Thailand. The suffering of women, children, and the elderly deeply pained her. Seeing people living in extreme poverty and despair made her realize the significance of helping others and giving back to society.

These experiences fueled her dedication to philanthropy, inspiring her to advocate for disadvantaged groups and raise resources to improve their quality of life. Her mother's words, “Happiness should be shared with others,” became an endless source of love and compassion in her heart, leading her to help those in need and light the way for them with kindness.

What Else Can I Do for You?

What Else Can I Do for You?

In midlife, Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai made a bold career change, transitioning from a university lecturer and tutor in home economics and beauty to founding an educational program focused on developing children's and teenagers' abilities in mathematics, English, and Chinese. Starting from scratch, she faced financial challenges and the pressure of building a new business, eventually collapsing from exhaustion. Fortunately, an ambulance arrived in time to save her.

This event made her reflect: What if the ambulance hadn't arrived in time? Would she have lost her chance at survival? From her personal experience, she realized that many others also needed urgent assistance. With the thought, “What else can I do for you?” in mind, she made a vow to unite people and devote herself to philanthropy, ensuring that the disadvantaged and those in crisis would feel the warmth of society's care.

Love Should Be Timely and Everlasting

In 1988, Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai established the Taipei Tsai Hsueh-Ni Charity Foundation. Over the years, the Foundation has donated 13 ambulances, 17 rehabilitation buses, one specialized vehicle for disabled elderly individuals, and one school transport vehicle for children in remote areas. These contributions provide essential resources to those in need and enhance emergency response efficiency.

To ensure that charity efforts continue uninterrupted, she donated 12 properties in Taipei to the foundation. She envisioned the foundation having an independent income source so that even if donations or sponsorships decreased, its operations would remain unaffected, allowing love and care to be passed on indefinitely. Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai's dedication to charity and selfless giving has enabled the foundation to assist countless underprivileged groups and families in crisis for over 30 years.

In 2023, Ms. Hsueh-Ni Tsai officially passed the leadership baton to Winnie Wen Yu Chao, who now serves as the Foundation's chairwoman. Carrying on Tsai's 30-year mission, Chao leads the foundation's team in advancing philanthropy, supporting the vulnerable, and fostering talent to create a lasting positive impact on society and families. We believe that as long as love and kindness continue to be shared, society will flourish in harmony and inclusivity!

Building a Better Society Together

Hsueh-Ni Tsai once said, “True happiness comes from sharing with others, as it is the foundation of a society where everyone thrives together.”The world is built on human connections. When we work to help others and contribute to society, the joy of giving enriches both our lives and the lives of those around us.

We firmly believe that only by spreading love and care to more people can we build a better society. That's why we continue to integrate resources and unite our collective efforts to:
‧Support families and students in crisis, helping them overcome difficulties.
‧Care for the elderly and people with disabilities, creating a supportive and healthy living environment.
‧Train professional caregivers to improve the quality of in-home care and enhance household well-being.
‧Collaborate with charitable organizations to implement various philanthropic initiatives, extending the benefits of charity to more people.

The foundation remains committed to the original vision of Hsueh-Ni Tsai, continuing on the path of philanthropy by sharing love and care. The beauty of society depends on everyone's collective effort.Every act of kindness and love brings endless hope and strength. We hope that more people will join us in working together to create a better society.
