Donation of New Assistive Devices to Taipei City Government’s Department of Social Welfare

The Taipei Tsai Hsueh-Ni Charity Foundation has long been committed to promoting charitable causes, not only caring for individuals with physical and mental disabilities but also addressing the growing elderly population in Taiwan. With Taiwan set to enter a super-aged society by 2025, the Foundation is promoting an assistive devices recycling donation program.
This year, the Taipei Tsai Hsueh-Ni Charity Foundation donated 63 brand-new assistive devices to the Taipei City Government’s Department of Social Welfare. These devices will be used in the Taipei Assistive Devices Center’s free lending service, which provides free access to elderly individuals, disadvantaged families, or those in urgent need of special devices. SHU-WEN YAO, Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government, expressed gratitude to the Foundation, emphasizing that this donation will provide appropriate assistance to many people in need of assistive devices, improving their quality of life and promoting greater interaction and participation in society.
